Your students are encouraged to listen and practise their French from the moment they arrive at the Château to the moment they leave. Whether it’s scaling an outdoor climbing wall or gathering in the dining hall at mealtimes, everything is carried out in French and professionally instructed by our native-speaking team of animateurs. In fact, a week at our Château provides your students with more exposure to speaking and listening to French than an entire term of lessons at school.
The Château is an authentically French environment where learners can reach their full potential. Activities are led on-site by animateurs, in groups of no more than twelve, to ensure that each student receives quality individual support to maximise their learning. Each student will also utilise our bespoke workbook to help reinforce the vocabulary learnt during each activity.
Our dedicated team of animateurs will lead your group —from breakfast through to evening entertainment and everything in between. Every moment is used as an opportunity for students to learn and use French in practice. With your group in the safe hands of our instructors, you can choose to get as involved as you'd like.

Our magical Château de la Baudonnière is our child-friendly language immersion residential centre in Lower Normandy. The 100 acre centre is well-equipped with adventure facilities, mini-farm, lake and classrooms and accommodates up to 170 students in eight gender-specific en suite dormitory blocks.

Château de la Baudonnière is authorised to accommodate school groups by the French Ministry of Youth and Sport and accredited by the French Ministry of Education. All our animateurs hold UK-accredited instructor qualifications for climbing, fencing, archery, first aid and lifeguarding.
